On Monday, the tribunal was told phone records and information retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most covered missing child cases and remains unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I'm her? What happens next? Is that not important for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a life here in Poland, I only wish to understand," she added.

The jury was informed that by means of emails, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with the police force who gathered the data, told the court there "didn't appear to be any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with family friends of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court heard the co-defendant struck up a association online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in that area in that winter.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had communicated via messaging service to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she ought to be taken seriously in the time preceding the appearance to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.

The court heard message exchanges between the two defendants, in November 2024, considering attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which said: "We find ourselves sat adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I had hoped to do this with Peter Andrew I hadn't anticipated I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
